Hongyi based in Hamburg and originally from China, developed a strong interest in art during her school years. Over time, she focused her creative practice on the intersection of design and art. Ten years ago, she moved to Germany to deepen her artistic work in a new cultural context. Ceramic material gradually became central to her practice — not only because of its tactile qualities, but also due to its cultural resonance. Today, she devotes herself to independent ceramic projects, exploring the relationship between material, form, and the human experience of objects.
