2. R.E.T.U.R.E

                R.E.T.U.R.E, HFBK, 2023
This work emerged from a workshop that explored how reclaimed wood could take on new life through temporary design. Created specifically for a three-day exhibition at HFBK, the installation was conceived with the awareness that the material would soon return to nature — a cycle of creation and dissolution.

Guided by the wood’s natural form, the structure was built without a single nail. Instead, it relies on traditional joinery techniques such as mortise and tenon. This approach not only emphasizes craftsmanship and respect for material, but also invites a quiet, tactile dialogue with nature. The resulting form offers a moment of pause — a place to dwell, reflect, and reconnect with the elemental.
